How does the CV / Resume rewrite work?
End-to-end process for AdvanceMed's CV rewrite service — selection, draft, feedback, final version, and revision policy.
Our CV / Resume rewrite service produces a professional-looking doctor's resume that's more likely to grab the attention of employers.
You can purchase the service via your customer dashboard at coaching.advancemed.com.au — sign in or create an account, then look for the CV / Resume options in the shop.
The process
- Select either the early-career or established-career version of the service at coaching.advancemed.com.au.
- Make payment.
- Fill in the intake form at coaching.advancemed.com.au/forms and upload a current version of your CV / resume. You'll receive an email reminder with a direct link.
We then provide a first draft of your new resume (normally within 5 working days), along with a short video walking you through it and highlighting any areas needing your input.
You provide feedback. We return a final version normally within 8 working days.
About 95% of customers don't need it, but there is an option for a half-hour video call to clarify aspects of your resume.
Important notes
Our ability to deliver on time depends on your promptness and the clarity of the information you provide about your career. One common problem we identify is a lack of explicit achievements in candidates' work, teaching, education and other relevant history.
Our service does not extend to:
- making up stories for your resume
- spending excessive time reviewing other documents you might submit
- spending excessive time interviewing you to obtain the correct information
The resume is provided in PDF only — see Can I have a Word version of my CV? for alternatives.
We are normally generous with edits and fine-tuning, but we have a policy of no more than 2 revisions.
Items that incur further cost
- Cover letters in addition to the resume
- More than one version, or different versions, of a resume
- Excessive interview time to gather information
- Updating your resume at a later point in time
